I’ve tried to look for benchmarks and comparisons and can’t seem to find any for Gentoo. I’m looking to switch to Gentoo from Arch and I have the latest and greatest hardware with a Nvidia GPU.
I’m also a 4k gamer. 3-6 FPS can be the difference between a smooth experience and screen tearing. I am willing to put in the time and effort of learning Gentoo and switching distros if there is a performance gain in gaming. I run native games and steam+proton.
No, I don’t plan to do anything else with my desktop other then browse the web.
