пробовал(
640x480 и 800x600 тоже виснут при запуске иксов
единственное, при предупредительном вводе настроек загрузки liveCD по F5
на слабых разрешениях размер видимой части экрана меньше размера монитора ноутбука
поэтому ввожу 1024x768. С этим разрешением консоль работает нормально и базовая картинка калкулейта тоже нормально отображается.
Возвращаюсь к мысли попробовать какой то боле старый вариант xorg или scratch, хотя понимаю что вряд ли.
Загвоздка в чем то другом.
