I hope that this is the right place for feature requesting.
Gentoo installation process takes long time. We have to recompile entire system. We can decrease compilation time by using distcc. Unfortunately no everyone has access to some grid/cloud/farm… More often people have some machines with different OS (like windows) and we could use it at for this purpose. So far we could boot CLS distro and emerge ccache and distcc, but would be much easier if those 2 binaries would be available on CD. (for example we want to compile in our separated LAN)
If you accept my request, next step might be adding some predefined config files. It would be enough to start distccd daemon at boot time and accept connection from current network. Anyway it is open issue for further consideration.
