[Solved] /etc/hosts getting overwritten

I’ve added entries to /etc/hosts but it gets overwritten on boot.
I’m running CLD KDE - Is it networkmanager doing this?
It doesn’t seem so since NetworkManager is using /etc/resolv.conf

As a temporary measure, I can only think to do this for now:

chattr +i /etc/hosts

/etc/hosts overwrites on each boot or not?

I think it happened twice only. It has not happened again. Must have been when I did emerge world?
