copy Calculate Linux from HDD to SSD

Added by Harald Morawietz about 1 month ago

Hi,

I copied my running Calculate Linux to a SSD . But after reboot it boots slowlier as with HDD.

- shall I reconfigure fstab boot entries ?
- how can I disable swap and zwap because i have 24Gig of Ram
- what can i do to boot faster ?

Best Regards
Harald

Hi !
Try to run the
cl-setup-boot
command to do the boot again.

The cleaner is to install again your disribution, because the installer look the actual config and optimize some settings.

This is a good article to follow. Not all steps may be applicable to Calculate, but the two important ones I use do apply: noatime and swappiness.
