The first step is to see if the card is recognized in your system and check the volume levels. If you use KDE, there is a volume icon on the task bar. Click on it. Raise the volume to the maximum. You should also see a Mixer button as part of the volume icon. Click on it. Raise the volume levels of all the different areas - Master, Center, PCM, Digital, etc to maximum. Now see if you can hear your sound card when you play a file.
If this does not work, go to Settings - System Settings - Hardware - Multimedia - Phonon and see if your device is listed. You can test the various devices and change which is the default.
Try this and report back.
well … first. I use cldg 11:09. I tried the volume control was no sound, any mixer I’ve tried to maximize. and this is a list of my hardware, does not seem to read well
