Why should English-speaking installations of Calculate Linux require myspell-ru and man-pages-ru? These Russian-language packages are called as dependencies of hunspell and man-pages, respectively:

$ sudo emerge -cv myspell-ru man-pages-ru

Calculating dependencies... done!

Hi Jose,
This is a feature of Portage. Most localizations are not performed in separate packages, but compiled with a package of programs. Calculate Linux supports from the box not only Russian, but also most European languages. Files with localization take up relatively little space, and their presence does not affect the performance of the system. The presence of language support in Live USB increases usability.

Okay, thank you for your reply and for your other contributions to Calculate Linux, Alexander!
Best wishes.
