grub problem

Added by x y 4 months ago

hi

today smthg strange happened. i was in my winblowz installation developing some stuff and suddenly nothing was working. i couldn't close any program. start menu not working. winblowz showed me bsod with error which is not relevant here...at least i think that (some err about writing smthg to disk or similar). winblowz reboot once and boom i am in grub shell and not in grub menu :( with
set root...
set prefix...
insmod normal
normal

i get my grub menu and i boot into calculate linux. then i tried to reinstall grub to my /dev/sda mbr. 1st time failed. 2nd time failed. now everytime i jump in grub shell and i have to write above commands to get grub menu. why grub-install /dev/sda didn't solve my problem twice? i run that command twice as root and didn't get any error from install process but i am not jumping in grub menu next time but in grub shell again.

any idea? advice? solution?

thanks

It can even change your layout partitions, and remove apps on update. I'm talking about "famous" Windows 10. Windows 7? Broken newest roll up updates.
