I don’t see any differences. Font seems to me as it was.
The most serious problem about Calculate is not only that fonts are not sharp.
Problem is that I can’t change default font.
In some applications, fonts are changed.
For example, Droid Sans is (still) the default font in menus, although I changed default font to DejaVu Serif Book.

What DE (Desktop environment) are you using? On my plasma install there is config tool in which I can change fonts for graphic session. Other desktop environments should have similar tools.
I don’t need to change fonts for other tty’s(ctrl+alt+f1 etc.) but it should be possible using cl-utils.
In plasma5 there is separate config tool to set look of gtk apps. You have to set again same font settings, so gtk apps will have same look as qt apps.
