Having trouble updating

Everytime i update im getting this error

Hi,
Do you have a Wireless card Broadcom ?
If not, you can uninstall the broadcom-sta package.

I see you use the 4.15.4 kernel. It’s available but not stable. Maybe the broadcom package can’t compile with this kernel yet.

So,

  • Try to remove broadcom package if you don’t use a broadcom Wireless card
  • Try to use the 4.14.x kernel.

removing Broadcom-sta worked, im on a desktop so no need for wireless. i cant use 4.14.x kernels as i get kernel panic and cant boot past grub. thats why im on 4.15.x so i dont have to be on 4.9.x kernels.

So if you don’t need wifi, the better way is to uninstall broadcom.
Indeed, Calculate have multiple drivers installed by default to run on several computers :slight_smile:
