October2018ReleaseKDE cant boot

After updating some Hardware I’ved tried to update to Calculate18, too
But both, Oct2018Release and Nightly
will not start into KDE
There is the welcome Splash “Easy from the source” then black screen and fast blinking cursor on top-left.

So far, I will gave the nightlyies a try once a week.

P.S.: All Hardware is working well with Win and Mint
Booting from USB3-Stick (BIOS, not UEFI)

If you need any further information, please tell.

Hi Ying,

In case it could help, I sometimes get a blinking cursor for a long time (30 seconds perhaps?) on a black screen after the “Easy from the source” wallpaper appears, although in my case I installed the xfce version to the hard drive and have been using different window managers, jwm and bspwm, which were installed later. That black screen seems to happen to me if I have my modem turned on, my TV with a TV cable service turned on also(!), and my ethernet cable connected. The hang doesn’t seem to resolve and lasts long, so I turn off the pc.

If you have a similar situation (or perhaps wifi running on your mobile?), perhaps switching off all such extra signals may help, and relaunching your computer session. In my case, it has helped. Perhaps there is some interference due to some vulnerability/bug?

Could you please let us know if that helps?

Best wishes

Still no luck with nightlies.
Sabayon nightly is booting and installable
Calculate not.

Ohh, and waiting did not help (2 min.)
