Try another USB port. If it's in a USB 3 port, try USB 2 and vice versa.

More often than not, it's due to excessive IRQ polling (interrupt storm). Either it's caused by a resource conflict, or some peripheral or internal device is failing (such as the sound card or internal hard drive).

Try experimenting by disconnecting as many devices as possible in order to isolate the culprit.
General: RE: How to install google earth on Calculate?http://old.calculate-linux.org/boards/15/topics/38167?r=38861#message-388612019-03-27T21:48:26+03:00nate liv

You should not have a problem. Download and install Google Earth Pro. When will you start the program? Use your email address (gmail) and GEPFREE. Do not click on the Free Trial.

Hi,

do not use virtualbox-bin but virtualbox.

On Calculate virtualbox package have binaries.

Uninstall first virtualbox-bin

emerge -C virtualbox-bin

And install all packages for Virtualbox :

emerge -avq app-emulation/virtualbox app-emulation/virtualbox-extpack-oracle app-emulation/virtualbox-modules app-emulation/virtualbox-additions

Add you in the vboxusers group :

usermod -G vboxusers -a YOURUSERNAME

Reboot or load manually one the modules :

modprobe vboxdrv
modprobe vboxnetflt
modprobe vboxnetadp
modprobe vboxpci

Hello, thank you for this great distro, my daily driver for over two years!

After a recent upgrade, the evince and qpdfview packages will no longer open .eps (postscript) files. This is a recent change - I have regularly used these packages to open .eps files for years.

It appears that these packages (and two others) have been compiled with the postscript USE flag off:

$ eix --installed-without-use postscript
[I] app-text/evince
[I] app-text/qpdfview
[I] media-gfx/gimp
[I] media-gfx/imagemagick

Please re-compile them all with this flag on...

activate the shortcut.
Hi,
Just at that time, all the repository packages were recompiled using GCC 8.2 :) Old packages can be installed, but using the `emerge`, since `cl-update` prefers repository packages.
General: RE: Shortcuts is not workinghttp://old.calculate-linux.org/boards/15/topics/37362?r=38770#message-387702019-03-12T14:04:40+03:00Dj D

Annoying problem if you rely 100% on keyboard shortcuts!

I had the same problem and the fix is very easy. You will need to uninstall your keyboard driver and restart your computer and your CTRL keys will function once again.
To do this:

1) Click Start
2) Control Panel
3) Printers and Other Hardware
4) Keyboard
5) In the Keyboard Properties window, click Hardware
6) Click Properties
7) Click Driver
8) Click Uninstall, click OK
9) Restart your Computer.

I can't find that option.
Looks like you posted Windows tutorial ?
