Is there a Calculate Web Server distribution, ready to install and to use out of the iso?

Hello,

Given my positive experience with my ongoing test of Calculate Linux Desktop, I would like to know if there is a Calculate Web Server distribution to host several independent websites, each one with its own domain, Apache, php, html, javascript, css files, MySQL database, and email accounts. Something simple but fast and easy to install that can be administered by a single person (not a linux savvy, me :D) because I will use it on an old computer (8 years old) or a limited VPS (1 CPU, 0.5GB RAM, 20GB HDD).

By the way I never installed a Linux Server, only several Linux Desktops for personal use  I am willing to learn if there are easy to follow tutorials, and of course if the iso comes bundled with all the stuff a web server requires that can be fast and easily installed much better! Am I asking too much?, hope someone can show me the easy way to the web server installation.

Best regards

You can use CDS. Mail will be managed by server. Apache, php, html, javascript, css files, MySQL database and other tools you can install from binary packages and configure manually. Also you can create custom Calculate Linux iso image with preferred software.

Hello and thanks a lot Mikhail,
Is there a link to a tutorial on how to do all that stuff in the right way? Please understand that I have experience with Linux Desktop as amateur, but I would like to learn how to install a Web Server in the right way. I can only read in English and Spanish, please take this into consideration when selecting the tutorials.
And please also the link to the tutorial on how to create the “custom Calculate Linux iso image.”

Thanks and best regards

Hello,
I guess Calculate Directory Server (CDS) is going to have too much stuff for what I need in the Web Server, I think I will use these links:
1.- Calculate Scratch Server (CSS) as my base OS
http://www.calculate-linux.org/main/en/cls
then
2.- I will try to do my best to understand the building procedure in order to install all the stuff my web server will need, and to make the iso
http://www.calculate-linux.org/main/en/interactive_system_build

If anybody has additional suggestions for newbie as well as additional links, they are welcomed.

Best regards
joejac

Hi Jose,

Scratch Server - a good choice. This article is outdated. The CL15 uses the new build tools. In the near future there will be documentation.

Hi Alexander, thanks a lot for your reply.

Just to know, Do you have an estimated date for the documentation?
By the way there is no hurry, unfortunately I am delayed in my plans.
Best regards
