Hello,

Can you report this command :

lspci

The intel link says :

Intel® 82574 Gigabit Ethernet Controller

or my MB use

02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection
03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection

and work fine.

Try manually build driver from intel. Or you can try ebuild from this page http://gpo.zugaina.org/net-misc/e1000e
